Baton
Rouge,
La. They
worked
to make
a good
Samaritan’s
home
wheelchair
accessible.
Carl
Falconer
Sr. lost
both his
legs in
an
accident
while
helping
a
stranded
motorist.
The
council
partnered
with
national
accounting
firm
KPMG and
involved
more
than 50
volunteers
and
nearly
$23,000
of
material
donations.
They
remodeled
his
home,
creating
an
accessible
bathroom
and
adding a
ramp to
the
front
entrance,
plus
improvements
like new
floors,
sidewalk,
landscaping,
cabinets,
exterior
paint
and even
a new
mailbox. |
